QuickBooks App Privacy Policy
Effective August 17, 2026
This policy applies only to the private CSH Bookkeeping Assistant operated by Car Shipping Hawaii Inc. It supplements the company’s customer-facing privacy policy.
Information accessed
After the business owner authorizes the application, it may read the QuickBooks company profile, chart of accounts, vendors and customers, accounting transactions, and accounting reports needed for bookkeeping, reconciliation, and tax preparation.
How information is used
Information is used only to review the company’s books, compare records with bank statements, identify recurring classifications and exceptions, prepare monthly close materials, and prepare records for an authorized tax professional. The application is not offered to the public and does not sell, advertise with, or monetize QuickBooks data.
Storage and security
- Transport uses HTTPS.
- The QuickBooks refresh token and company identifier are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
- Intuit client credentials and encryption keys are stored separately as hosting secrets.
- Access tokens are held only in server memory and are not persisted.
- Application logs are designed to exclude OAuth credentials, tokens, and financial response bodies.
Sharing
Data may be handled by Intuit, the application’s hosting provider, and people or software providers specifically authorized by Car Shipping Hawaii for bookkeeping or tax preparation. It is not sold or shared for unrelated marketing.
Retention and deletion
The encrypted authorization record is retained until the owner disconnects the application or the authorization expires. The connector does not persist fetched accounting reports or transactions. Disconnecting revokes the Intuit authorization and removes the encrypted connection record after revocation succeeds.
